Raising money for the cause is why we're here, right? The Scherzers are giving from their personal collection in order to provide masks for underprivileged and at-risk populations in Washington, D.C. and are matching all the money raised here. Along with memorabilia raffles, auctions, and more, we are taking donations, so if you'd like to contribute, please click below!

During Phase 1 over $15,500 was raised by Nats for Masks; including the Scherzer's generous match over $31,000 was raised for the cause. Additionally, a number of masks were donated (both disposable and reusable), members of the community volunteered to causes to help fight COVID-19, and so much more! Phase 2 is now live – this round will focus on both masks and securing meals for those in need – and we look forward to seeing the community's involvement once again!

Max and Erica Scherzer have always been engaged members of their community. They still support organizations in Arizona, where Max made his MLB debut, and Detroit, where the 7-time All Star won the first of his three Cy Young Awards.

Here in Washington, D.C., the World Series Champion couple continue to be actively involved. Erica serves on the board of the Humane Rescue Alliance, one of the many local causes the pair support.

When COVID-19 changed the world early this year, the Scherzers took immediate action in the form of grants towards local pandemic relief. As the need grows and the duration of the impact becomes more apparent, they're amplifying their commitment to being a part of community aid.

In addition to continued grants for relief and purchases of locally made masks, the Scherzers hand-picked memorabilia from their personal collection to sign and share with fans. Through a series of auctions and raffles, proceeds raised will be matched by the Scherzers and donated to mask purchases and pandemic relief for those in high need in the District.

While we want to maximize the amount of money raised for this great cause, we also want to offer opportunities for fans to acquire rare autographed (and in some cases game-used) memorabilia. There will be raffles where entry will be affordable to nearly all baseball fans. Additionally, some raffles will be enterable with volunteer hours or other qualifying charitable actions (see item details for more!)

If you are not able to participate financially we urge you to take other steps to help us move past this viral pandemic; stay home, practice good hand hygiene, and wear a mask when you absolutely must go out.  You don't have to spend tons of money to be a champion in this battle vs COVID-19!
